Welcome to our April newsletter.
Easter holidays this month will see a quieter time at the Centre with several of our regular hirers away as they only operate in school term time. So, this is an opportunity to address the ongoing maintenance tasks as well as a general tidy up around the outside of the premises.
Last month we saw 30 residents attending the Defibrillator and CPR Awareness session held in the Centre which was very informative. Our thanks go out to John Bance, of Amber Community First Responders, for running this much appreciated event.
We continue to work on setting up a Friends of Chellaston Community Centre Group to undertake public events to raise funds which will benefit community facilities and operations. Events may include Coffee mornings, nearly new sales, flea markets etc. If you are someone who would wish to be involved in some way, please get in touch via enquiries@chellastonca.org or call 07895386433.
A quick update on the Centre expansion project. Our team is currently involved in the tender process to select a suitable construction company and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
Just a reminder that the Centre is available for individual private hire at weekends, Saturdays all day until 21.30 and Sunday afternoons. If you are considering an event such as a children’s or family party, please take a video tour on our website https://chellastonca.org/hiring-a-room. Our website also includes a diary so you can see what availability we have over the coming months. Alternatively you can call our Bookings Secretary for more information on 07895386433.
