With the large meeting room now out of use whilst the redevelopment takes place several of our hirers have managed to find new locations within Chellaston for their activities. Listed are the groups/activities continuing to operate at the Centre within the main hall which may be of interest to you. You can find contact information by visiting our website and viewing the calendar of events.
Playdays Opportunity (pre-school) Group operating daily.
Monday – Chellaston Rainbows and Brownies, Monday club (over 60’s) indoor games/sports, Order of the Blade.
Tuesday – Staying active, One School of Dance, Zumba, TKD Vets.
Wednesday – Enthusiasm Youth Club.
Thursday – Well Child Health Clinic, TKD.
Friday – Kick Boxing
Sunday – RCCG Worship, AA.
Saturday all day and Sunday afternoons are allocated for private hire and the Centre is very popular for children’s and family events. You can view the Centre facilities by visiting our website https://chellastonca.org/hiring-a-room and taking the video tour. Annually we take around 60 to 70 bookings for these events, so we always recommend planning ahead if you have a specific date in mind. A deposit secures your hire.
Next month sees the AGM of Chellaston Community Association taking place on Saturday 11th November 2023 at 10 am in the Centre. As mentioned in a previous newsletter the Association is reaching stage where new volunteers are needed. Without it the CCA could fold, charity status lost and the closure of the Community Centre.
If you feel you can offer some assistance to ensure this popular facility remains open, then please attend the meeting.
